Local Information

The Ohio Center for Technology and Science is located in the new Physics Research Building on The Ohio State University's main campus. There are 2 hotels within walking distance of main campus and also several within a few miles of campus. The list of these hotels is located in the left hand column. Getting around Ohio State's Campus

As the state’s leading comprehensive teaching and research university, The Ohio State University has a large campus and prides itself on its diversity. Tuttle Parking Garage, which is open to the public, is located near to the Physics Research Building. If you will require a guest parking pass during your stay for a seminar, please contact OCTS to request a pass. For getting around campus, The Campus Area Bus System (CABS) offers convenient free transportation. Please click on the link at the left for an interactive map of the campus area.

Traveling to The Ohio State University

Visiting OSU is easy. Port Columbus International Airport is host to every major carrier in the US. Additionally, it hosts the low-cost airlines Southwest Airlines and Independence Air. If you are driving to the conference, please review the directions published by the unviersity located in the left menu or you can click the following link to MapQuest to create your own driving directions.

Entertainment in Columbus

The Columbus Visitor Bureau has an extensive website to help you enjoy your stay in Columbus. The Ohio State University is located close to downtown Columbus, Ohio. There are many entertainment options on campus. The University is also close to many neighborhoods in Columbus. The Short North, the neighborhood just north of downtown, which features a variety of tasty restaurants, popular bars, unique shops and art galleries is just south of campus, and features "Gallery Hop" on the first Saturday of each month. The Arena District, home of the Nationwide Arena and the Columbus Blue Jackets is just west of downtown, and features an array of bars and restaurants. The Brewery District is just south of downtown, and is home to several local breweries, as well as several bars and dance clubs and some of Columbus' best dining establishments.
